POND LINERS

During the spring and summer months algae causes green water. Pond water is passed through a chamber containing an ultra violet lamp. The green algae cells present are penetrated by the UV light, destroying their ability to multiply and causing them to bond together. The larger particles can then be captured in the biological filter. The mild sterilizing effect of the UV will also assist in the reduction of harmful pond bacteria. The end result is crystal clear / healthy pond water.

Retrofit UV

The retrofit UV is designed to fit on top of an existing biological filter making it easy to install. Water is simply passed from your pond pump and directly to the inlet on the retrofit UV hood. It then goes through the UV and via a spray bar enters the filter box where all the good beneficial bacteria gets to work capturing all the dead clumped up algae. From the return of the filter comes the crystal clear water back to your pond. Many sizes available.

Yamitsu UV

Yamitsu ultra violets have an inlet and an outlet. Pass the water from your pump onto the inlet and the sterilized water will come out the other end. This outlet should be connected to the inlet of a biological filter. Once its been through the filter the end result will be Crystal Clear Water.

UV BULBS.

UV bulbs should be replaced every 6 months to keep them at full strength. The Twin tube only need replacing every 12 months.
